An instrument that combustion catalytic oxidation (680°C) with Non-Dispersive Infrared Detector (NDIR) method is used. On top, Auto-sampler ASI-V, Total Nitrogen Unit TNM-1 and Solid Sample Combustion Unit SSM-5000A are set. The operation, control and data collection can be conducted by a personal computer (PC). It enables the analysis of the total organic carbon and inorganic carbon contents of wide range of sample including fresh water, polluted water, as well as solid samples. The measurement range (mg/L) is 0 to 25,000 and 0 to 30,000 on Total Carbon (TC) and Inorganic Carbon (IC) respectively, and the detection limit is as low as 4ug/L. Because of total nitrogen unit is added, it can also be analysis total organic carbon and total nitrogen simultaneously.
