Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A cold front is bringing appreciably cooler and rainy weather to inland and the eastern coast of Guangdong. The cold front is expected to move across the vicinity of the Pearl River Estuary tonight.

Weather forecast for tonight and tomorrow

Cloudy with a few rain patches. Light winds, becoming fresh east to northeasterlies around midnight, and rain will become more frequent with isolated thunderstorms. Winds will strengthen gradually tomorrow. It will be appreciably cooler with temperatures falling gradually from about 23 degrees at first to around 18 degrees tomorrow night.

Outlook : Still a few rain patches on Sunday with windy and cooler weather. Temperatures rising gradually early to midweek next week.

Warnings:
Gale force winds in Nan'ao and Shanwei. Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao. Fog in south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
A southerly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters. Besides, a cold front over inland and the eastern parts of Guangdong is expected to move across the Pearl River Estuary tonight.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
South force 3 to 4, becoming east to northeast force 6 to 7.
A few showers and thunderstorms.
Slight to moderate seas, becoming rough.

Nan'ao:
East to northeast force 7 to 8.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
Rough to very rough seas.

Shanwei:
East to northeast force 6 to 7, occasionally force 8.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms.
