Here is the latest weather bulletin issued by the Hong Kong Observatory.

A maritime airstream is affecting the coast of Guangdong. Meanwhile, a cold front over the northern part of southern China is moving southwards gradually and is expected to move across the coastal areas tonight.

Weather forecast for today

Mainly cloudy with one or two showers. Sunny periods during the day with a maximum temperature of about 28 degrees. Light to moderate southerly winds. Winds will become moderate to fresh northeasterlies tonight, visibility rather low and the weather will be more showery with isolated thunderstorms.

Outlook : Windy with rain and appreciably cooler over the weekend. Temperatures rising gradually early next week.

Warnings:
Strong winds in Hong Kong adjacent waters, Nan'ao, Shanwei and south of Hong Kong. Fog in Nan'ao, Shanwei, south of Hong Kong and Shangchuan Dao.

Weather Situation:
A southerly airstream is affecting the south China coastal waters. Besides, a cold front over the northern part of southern China is moving southwards gradually and is expected to move across the coastal areas tonight.

Area forecasts for the next 24 hours

Hong Kong Adjacent Waters:
South force 3 to 4, becoming northeast force 5 to 6 later.
A few showers. Visibility rather low, more showery with isolated thunderstorms later.
Slight to moderate seas, becoming moderate to rough later.

Nan'ao and Shanwei:
South force 4 to 5, becoming northeast force 5 to 6.
Isolated showers and thunderstorms. Fog patches at first.
Moderate seas, becoming moderate to rough.

South of Hong Kong:
